This lodge is a beautiful lakeside resort located in the heart of Ontario's beautiful Muskoka - Georgian Bay lake country approximately 150 km (90 miles) north of Toronto. It is situated in a quiet sheltered cove on the northern shores of Gloucester Pool, part of the historic waterway. The resort encompasses about 100 acres of waterfront property on over 700 meters (2000 feet) of private shoreline, and overlooks a spectacular array of pine clad islands.  Since it's historical beginnings in the mid 1800's, careful attention has been given to preserving the timeless beauty of this bygone era, yet providing all the modern amenities one would expect from today's finest resorts . . . from the classic white clapboard buildings with criss-cross log detail to the architectural cobblestone sidewalks.  This lodge has been featured in many publications. It has been owned and operated by a private family since 1937, and they and their staff are dedicated to providing the highest standards of hospitality, comfort, and personal service. Open May to October each year.
We know that family vacations deserve family times together. After all, kids grow up too fast, and then all we have are memories . . . hopefully fantastic memories. So, we're dedicated to providing a comprehensive fun-filled program for the kids, and yet allowing flexibility for families to spend time together. Kids can be enrolled in the Kids Program, and yet be taken out if families want to do things together. Things such as family picnics, exploring secluded islands, canoeing our sheltered coves, visiting our local attractions, horseback riding or a host of other fun things to do are just waiting for you!
Toddlers Program (2-5 yrs)  The Toddlers Program is fun-filled and stimulating. There is a variety of creative toys and play equipment. Our toddlers staff just love kids and offer daily programs that include arts & crafts, stories, songs, snacks, and outdoor fun at the kids playground. The program is featured in the summer months daily in the morning, afternoon, and selected evenings.
Kids Program (6-12 yrs)  The Kids program is designed to provide a memorable "resort camp" experience. Supervised activities are planned daily around various themes such as nature, history and culture. Activities include hikes on wooded trails, fishing derby, arts & crafts, scavenger hunts, water-skiing & tubing, swimming, canoeing, island picnics, barbecues, beach bon-fires, hot dog & corn roasts, and more! Kids often make friends that last a lifetime. The program is featured during the summer months daily in the morning, afternoon, and selected evenings.
Teens  Although not highly structured, there are many things for teens to do. They include water-skiing & tubing, swimming, paddleboating, canoeing, windsurfing, kayaking, hiking our wooded trails, fishing, beach bon-fires & sing-a-longs, hot dot & corn roasts, tennis, jet-skiing and more!
Babysitting  Qualified baby sitters are available at a nominal charge for children. Arrangements should be made at the front desk. Please allow sufficient time.
Please note, our programs are scheduled on a weekly basis, and stays of less than one week will receive only the activities schedule during their stays. The above are just a sample of planned activities, and are subject to change without notice.
Over the years, we have gained a well earned reputation for delicious foods, popular wines, and gracious country hospitality. All meals are served in the Main Lodge Dining Room where guests can enjoy a view of our waterfront. Menu items are carefully selected to ensure a delightful variety of choices, are meticulously prepared by our expert chef, and served by our friendly and courteous staff. Attention is given to using fresh, high quality, healthy ingredients.  Fully inclusive packages in the spring and fall months feature 2 meals each day (breakfast & dinner) and in the summer feature 3 meals daily.
Guest accommodations are housed in buildings surrounding the Main Lodge and have a view of our magnificent waterfront. There are 45 warmly appointed rooms and suites that have a full compliment of guest amenities. They feature one or more beds, private bathrooms, small lakeside sitting area, individual heat and air conditioning, small refrigerator, color TV, and a lakeside deck, patio, or balcony. All guest accommodations are connected to the Main Lodge by cobblestone walkways.
