Ideal for artlovers and mountain-sports enthusiasts, Flaine is a ski resort like no other. Architecture, art and snow form the magic trio that have made Flaine a legend. Until 1959, this quiet valley with its north-facing slopes and southern plateaux was visited only by sheep, shepherds and ramblers. In 1967, thanks to the efforts of ski champion Emile Allais and the talent of architect Marcel Breuer, the first skiers discovered the slopes of Flaine, the first ski resort to be declared a conservation area.

Since then, Flaine's art collection has been enriched with paintings by Picasso, Vasarely, and Dubuffet, among many others. In this resort that combines all the joys of mountain life, the Club village welcomes you and your children (from four months upward) to a superb, unspoiled site.

DATE : Open from December 19, 1999 until April 24, 2000. The sunny, purpose-built resort of Flaine offers skiing for all levels in the Grand Massif ski area. Our village caters to babies from 4 months old in the Baby Club.

This resort is situated in the acclaimed French health resort of Vittel and is made up of 3 hotels. The Grand Hotel is of architecture and design dating from the turn of the century and is linked to an annex by a covered walkway. Both hotels are set in Vittel Park which is open to the public and are more comfortable. L'Hotel (comfort rating: basic) offers more modest comfort and is situated just outside the park within easy reach of Vittel town. The Ermitage Hotel is set close to the golf course and ideal for golfers. Vittel is an excellent choice for golfers who will enjoy the two nearby 18-hole international golf courses; "Le Mont St Jean" and the "Peulin" handicap 35 required (extra cost).

You can also improve your swing and technique at the large practice area at the village which offers: a driving range (180 spaces), 2 bunkers, a 9-hole training green, a 9-hole and an 18-hole putting green. Other golf facilities include a Club House & pro-shop, golf clubs for beginners' lessons, with golf bags and half and full sets of clubs available against a deposit. Caddies are available for hire and there is even a free shuttle to the golf course. For the really dedicated there are special courses for beginners and advanced players (at extra cost). Just remember that outside of lessons, golf balls are payable.  Last but not least, children are also welcome from 4 months old.  Activities for the young ones, depending on their age, include a Circus School, roler, tennis, golf, archery and stunt-bike.  Vittel is also ideal for fitness and health enthusiasts with specialised programmes (extra cost).

Each of the 90 rooms, suites and villas, has its own atmosphere, all being decorated in beautiful colours and modern furnishings. Many rooms have four-poster beds, ideal for honeymooners. Fling the windows open or step into the private terrace to let in the island breeze and enjoy the breathtaking sea view.

The suites have a sitting room either in the same area as the bedroom (classic suites) or in a separate area (deluxe suites). There are also spacious 2-4 bedroom villas with their own private pools.

Our two restaurants serve the finest meals with the most astonishing sea view.
