Tahiti and her Islands, officially known as French Polynesia, are located in the South Pacific Region. Just a 7-1/2 hours flight time from Los Angeles. The capital of French Polynesia Papeete on the island of Tahiti and all international flights arrive at Tahiti-Faaa Internantional Airport ( PPT ).  All passengers entering French Polynesia must be in possession of a valid passport and outbound ticket.  French and Tahitian are the official languages, but English is widely spoken in the hotels, shops and throughout the tourism industry.
Tahiti is a year-round destination. There are two seasons: from November through May the climate is warmer and humid, and June through October the climate is cooler and drier. Most of the rain falls during the warmer season. The average temperature is between 80F and 86F.  The local currency, the French Pacific Franc (CPF), is pegged directly to the French Franc (5.5 CPF per franc). The rate is about $1.00=100CPF. You can exchange your money at the banks or at your hotel.
This resort is the premier hotel on the island of Moorea. The resort is situated on the northern coast of the island near the magnificent Opunohu bay and is set in lush tropical gardens with a dramatic mountain backdrop. Moorea is one of the Winward islands of the Society Archipelago of French Polynesia. A deep channel of 17kms (11 miles) separates Moorea from Tahiti and the resort is situated on the North Western aspect of the island, near the magnificent Opunohu Bay.
Nearby Major Attractions: Unique Dolphin Quest offers guests the opportunity to swim with the dolphins - located within the resort, Tiki Village - 6kms / 3.5mls, Belvedere look out point and Opunuhu Bay - 13kms / 7.8mls.
This is a deluxe resort lagoon side, featuring a range of accommodation from units and rooms to beach, garden and overwater suite bungalows.
