Whether you're planning a family vacation, romantic retreat or a weekend with friends, you'll find this resorts accommodations to be spacious and comfortable. We offer an extraordinary selection of 355 rooms, including 41 suites and 30 resort villas, all of which have been designed to meet the expectations of today's sophisticated traveler. Choose from king or two double bed suites, as well as "Courtside" or "Lakeside" rooms, most of which have an adjoining balcony. Our junior suites feature additional amenities such gas fireplaces; Newport suites also boast queen sofa sleepers and Jacuzzi. Our spectacular resort villas are fully furnished, complete with wood burning fireplaces.
Grand Adventure Kids Club is available to resort guests for children ages 4 to 12 daily during the summer and on weekends during the winter. Hours are 10am to 5pm (as well as 6pm to 9:30pm on weekends). Morning and/or afternoon sessions are available and activities (such as swimming, tennis, arts & crafts and treasure hunts) change every day. It's a great way to for kids - and parents - to find time for themselves! In addition to our Grand Adventure Kids Club , we now have an on-site state-licensed child care center: Kids Are Grand cares for children ages six weeks to 11 years of age and is available for daily, weekly or monthly enrollment.

NORTH CAROLINA RESORT Reference # US70008
Nestled high in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Tall hemlocks and mountain laurel accent the mixed hardwoods of this 1400 acre estate. Majestic mountains, a private 35 acre lake, and gardens surround our historic country inn. Nearby cottages blend into the quiet landscape. The inn is the gathering place and is only a few steps from the golf course, practice range, tennis courts, lake, children's play area, an exercise trail, and the start of several walking trails.
From June 1 to September 1 there are two excellent children's programs. Rates are $2.50 per hour per child. For children too young to be in these programs, babysitters are available with adequate notice. Kids' Club for young guests ages 5-11 runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily with supervised activities such as nature walks, games, arts and crafts, hiking, donkey cart rides, swimming, movies, and picnic lunches. In the evening from 6-9 p.m. there are pajama parties, Mexican fiestas, hayrides, cookouts, and games. The daily Play Group entertains children ages 2-4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a high counselor-to-child ratio. Both groups use the playground, boathouse, and beach area facilities. Teens enjoy all the inn's activities and have their own Gathering Place with a pool table and ping-pong.
