ARIZONA DUDE RANCH Reference # US70009
The fully supervised children's program provides a fantastic ranch experience for kids ages 4 through 11! 12 years old may opt in or out of the program. It is divided into two age groups, the 4-6 year olds (Buckaroos) and the 7-11 year olds (Wrangler Kids). The younger ones do most of their riding in the arena, with our Counselors working with them to develop their riding proficiency toward going out on the trails. The Wrangler Kids will have a more active riding program geared to their mental and physical capabilities. This group has daily riding lessons, and both beginning and advanced rides. Parents may ride with their kids if they wish. The program is very active, incorporating riding along with tennis, swimming, nature programs, games, arts and crafts, and other activities for a vacation experience that will not soon be forgotten! Miles of scenic horseback riding and hiking trails offer ranch guests the opportunity to explore the rugged and unique Sonoran desert of the Old West. Riding is offered every day of the week, both walking rides for beginners and loping rides for more experienced riders. Breakfast rides up to the Old Homestead for a cowboy breakfast are scheduled twice a week, and should not be missed. All day rides are offered weekly and feature a 6 hour ride with a lunch out on the trail. This is a great way to experience the Old West! Our guided hiking program offers miles of breathtakingly beautiful trails. Hikes range in level of difficulty to allow everyone to participate! The mountain biking program provides a fun & different way to explore the desert. For those that are not so aerobically inclined, our guided nature walks offer the opportunity to experience the plants and animals of the Sonoran Desert on our nature trails. Our staff naturalist offers special programs that allow guests to see some of the desert's creatures up close and personal! The facilities include indoor and outdoor heated pools, a separate children's wading pool, and an exercise room. A large Jacuzzi and men's and ladies' saunas provide the perfect way to relax after a long day in the saddle! For an additional fee, championship golf is nearby, and in-room massage can be arranged. There are 5 tennis courts, including one Omni artificial turf court which is lighted for nightplay, and a staff tennis pro to help you with your game! Basketball, volleyball, and catch & release fishing are also available, and the ranch provides all the equipment!

Children's Programs are the answer. Children ages 3-12 can enjoy supervised activities that are packed full of fun and excitement--everything from swimming and arts and crafts, to face-painting, campfires, even pizza parties! Parents, you can relax knowing your children are safe, enjoying a fantastic time, under the guidance and care of fully-trained counselors. Programs are flexible, to meet your schedule. Choose from full day and half day "camps." Or, take advantage of evening programs that include dinner and organized activities that are sure to make this one of the most memorable vacations for the entire family. For all Children's Programs, children should wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Parents should bring a bathing suit, sweater or jacket and flotation aid if necessary. Towels are provided. Children should not wear diapers or pull-ups and must be potty trained. "Cubs Adventure Camp" is a fully-supervised full day or half day camp. Full day hours are 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. and includes lunch and a snack. Half-day from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. or 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. includes snack or lunch. Activities include: theme days, arts & crafts, team competitions, swimming, and nature hikes. Full day fee $30, half-day fee $20 with snack, $25 with lunch. "Cubs Adventure Camp" available Monday-Friday (Memorial Day to Labor Day) and Saturday year round. "Kid's Night Out" provides a "night out" for kids and parents alike! Available 6-9 p.m., Monday-Thursday (Memorial Day to Labor Day), activities include: theme dinner parties, outdoor activities & games for $20. Available 6-10:30 p.m. Friday & Saturday year round, activities include: dinner, swimming, organized games, face-painting, campfires, and movies for $25.
