This resort has earned a reputation for providing fun vacations and free activities for the whole family. Outside Magazine praised this resort's family program in its 1998/1999 Annual Travel Guide - "(This resort) has come up with a complex, highly sophisticated concept designed to attract families: Give them lots of free stuff!... The resort began offering free lift tickets to kids, 10 and under, seven years ago. The free lodging and breakfast buffets for children have been around for even longer, and the popular tradition of offering families more for their dollar continues. "We also offer families the benefits of uncrowded skiing, close proximity to Yellowstone National Park and a cozy family environment, and our free daily activities are the icing on the cake for many of our guests."
This resort's Focus on Fun free family program offers additional benefits throughout the winter season. Last year the resort expanded the program to provide daily activities for kids of all ages. Designed and directed by Barbara Rowley, a contributing editor to Walt Disney's Family Fun Magazine and children's activity book author, the varied programming includes fireside bedtime story readings for young kids, macrame jewelry-making for teens and puzzle and game nights for the entire family. Unique programs to the alpine experience are dog rescue demonstrations with the Ski Patrol, ski tuning clinics and on-mountain scavenger hunts.
